Air Asia x Centara Grand Hotel/Airline Review

The long awaited September holidays has arrived!!

Like... uh... 5 days ago??

Trust me! I very badly wanted to blog but exams =_=

I h8 exams ( who doesn't right? )

Today's post will be a review of Air Asia and Centara Grand Hotel, Bangkok ♒((⇀‸↼))♒

Yes.

I flew to Bangkok again for this September holiday.

what's new? ☺☺☺☺☺

For this trip, as you can see, I flew with Air Asia.

And they did give me an unforgettable time c:

Well, first of all, the check in.

Why am I paying for service charge when I have to do self-check in??

The staff looked pissed off when we asked for help regarding self-check in.

This was what happened....

Us: /sees the self-check in machine, goes to an air asia staff/ excuse me, is it possible to check in at the counter instead?

Staff: No. You have to do self-check in.

Us: /starts groaning bc what the hell??/ Oh then can you help us?

Staff: Just go to the machine and follow the instructions.

Us: /walks over to the machine and follows instructions but nothing is happening. calls for staff/

Staff: /groans and walks over/ what? /walks over and help us/

Us: Is air asia the only airline adopting this style of check in?

Staff: No. All airlines have implemented self-check in. the airport wanted it

Us: /looks around and only sees air asia with the self-check-in counters/

come. I clap for you air asia.

Okay, maybe other airlines also going to follow ( in the future ) but the staff said the other airlines HAVE implemented the self-check in system... so...

go think about it, guys.

After we checked in, we found out that we were all separated ( LMAO )

We went to the baggage check in counter and got the staff there to help us with the seating.

He didn't seem happy about it and kept on insisting that its the system's fault.

Okok. If it's the system's fault then maybe you could have gotten your I.T. department to do something about it???????

All the tickets were booked at one go. one time. I don't see why your system is unable to put us seated together or at least near each other ... ヽ(ಠ_ಠ)ノ

The best part was when he said

"if you wanted to sit together, you should have paid more when booking to select your seats"

First, the self-check in and that staff's attitude.

Now, we have to deal with this.

What a great way to start my holidays ☺☺☺

I am 100% sure this is a tactic of air asia to make more money.

If you think about it, the fares you're paying for this airline is not much different compared to the fares you're paying for a non-budget airline.

I mean... you have to pay additional for foods, drinks, and seats per person.

All these added up, is probably the price of a plane ticket for a non-budget airline per person.

If that's the case, then might as well book with non-budget airlines.

Bigger leg room ( w no additional cost whatsoever ), in-flight meals and entertainment.

The flight experience and in-flight meals were horrible.

I read online that air Asia's in-flight meals are really good and tasty.

Well, I only have 1 thing to say to those people.

stop lying through your teeth.

We pre-booked our in-flight meals - Chicken Rice and Nasi Lemak as you can see from the photos below:

Remember when I complained about thai air's in-flight meals?

I take back that complain.

AIR ASIA'S INFLIGHT MEAL IS THE WORSE

The rice is so mushy, chicken meat is 90% fats (chicken rice) , ikan bills is not crunchy/crispy (unlike what was advertised) eww istg. 

I have no idea how people can actually say that the chicken was well marinated and all.. probably because they were paid to say all those stuff.
the food is disgusting.
to me. 

Earlier on, for our return flight, because we didn't pre-book any meals online beforehand and we were hungry, we had to purchase directly on the flight.
It's frigging expensive for that kind of quality.
890baht for 2 dishes and 1 can of coke.
( 890baht = SGD35.60 )

Anyways, I'm just really thankful to the staff that changed our seats for us to the emergency exit seats, for free. Initially, we were separated, sitting in this order : 2, 1, 1. But we explained our situation to the staff and she made arrangments for us to sit together instead.



Last but not least, air asia, please upgrade and fix your stupid seating system.
It's the year 2016. Technology is advanced as hell now.
Upgrade your damn system
/whispers/ and maybe the pilot as well??? 
Because I swear, I had a really bad headache throughout the flight towards Bangkok and back to Singapore. The plane ride was like a rollercoaster ride instead.

I WAS FEARING AND PRAYING FOR MY LIFE

I'm not prepared to die!! SHINee hasn't come back yet T_T 

That's about it for the airline review c:
So remember kids, think twice /cues cheer up/ before booking with air asia because the fares might be the same if you book with the non-budget airline.

I just want to say,
this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in, for all my Bangkok trips.
Yes. It's even better than Amari Watergate.

I'm serious,really.
This hotel is located at 999 Rama I Rd, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand. 

Fyi, this hotel has a SMART TV.

The moment I found out about the SMART TV, I immediately played Red Velvet's Russian Roulette.
Basically, I was on youtube most of the time when I'm in the hotel.

I believe this hotel is located above Central World (if I'm not wrong..)
The entrance to this hotel is behind central world.
You'll have to take the lift from the entrance to the 23rd floor (hotel lobby) to check in.
The lobby is really really pretty ;-;

The hotel provides a shuttle service to the several places like Central Embassy, ZEN, Central World etc.

I just want to say that the waffles provided during breakfast were the best omg T_T it taste almost like the ones sold at gelare ;-; I miss the waffles ;-;

The staff and service during our stay is good.
The housekeeping staff greeted us with a smile and  good morning when she sees us in the morning c:
The room is huge and spacious so is the bathroom.

The one flaw about this hotel is its location.
Its kinda far from platinum fashion mall. ( my fav shopping mall in BKK )
But thank god for that new bridge built.
There's a new overhead bridge built that connects central world to platinum fashion mall and big c supermarket opposite central world.



I strongly recommend for all of you to stay there once, when you are in Bangkok!
