Back to topic,
Most of my followers on twitter & insta would have known that I was in bangkok for a "short" period of time during the school holidays and since I'm free now , I'm going to blog about the entire trip using my memory and photos because it has been quite awhile since the trip heh :x
Before I start , I would like to say that my family was suppose to be flying with jetstar to bangkok since there was a promotion going on or smth but after my mum confirmed her booking and paid for it , the total came up to more than what was stated before she made payment so she called up jetstar to cancel the booking because it was simply not worth that amount money if we fly with jetstar. In the end , after very little consideration , we decided to book our flights with thai airways :>
Okay so our flight was early in the morning at around 8plus? And we had to wake up at 4am . worse of all , I didn't sleep early the previous night so you can just imagine the dark eye rings around me eyes XD After checking in etc , we had breakfast at the usual place --> burger king and fml its more expensive than the ones outside of the airport ... ... it was around 6:45am when we finished breakfast so we walked around the area to buy stuffs since its DUTY-FREE and guess who I saw ?
SNSD | Girls Generation & Changmin !!! XD
There wasn't much to buy during our long period of time roaming around . Before long , it was time to board the plane !

Does the image above look appetizing to you ? ....
We reached bangkok 2 hours after the flight and thats when Day 1 of le bangkok trip started ~
p.s I forgot to mention that the airport was christmas themed when we were there ~ Below are just some of the decorations they had
There wasn't much to do on day 1 since most of us ( except me ) were freaking tired from waking up so early in the morning ... We arrived at the hotel ; same hotel we stayed in before but not the executive suite because expensive as compared to previously , checked - in , unpacked our stuffs and went for lunch at Big C (its a hypermart + shopping mall) If you're in any part of thailand , the number 1 thing you must try is their fried rice *^* and also their thai food which I never tried at all because spicy + sour does not smell nor taste appetizing to me. We also did minor shopping after lunch and then headed back to the hotel to rest until evening time before heading back out to shop more and find food *noms*
Day 2 : Woken up early by parents for breakfast in the hotel ;; didn't sleep much the night before again. ( I'm not much of a early sleeper ) went out to shop again after breakfast and this was all the loots from day 1 & day 2

For the bangkok trip this time round , I did not buy as many stuffs as I did before so yeah :< Didn't do much on day 2 so moving on ,
Rest of the trip was messed up because I was too lazy to remember what happened on which day so I'm just gonna type everything that happened out .
It was on the 3rd day when we decided to go to the 4 face Buddha to pray . I prayed for good results because N'levels after that , walked to siam paragon to check the pricing of the chanel bag my mum wanted which she bought in singapore a few weeks after our bangkok trip ... I spotted krispy kreme doughnuts at siam paragon(?) and decided to try it out since the queue wasn't so long and it's cheaper as compared to the price in singapore ~ 200baht ( 8SGD ) for 12 doughnuts :>

To be honest here , I have never tried krispy kreme doughnuts in singapore before because I heard about the long queue for it and I'm just simply too lazy to queue ... whoops :x anyways if you have not tried it yet , you should because #yolo . jkjk all of you should try it especially the original one *noms more* I need more of those doughnuts !! After a pretty much exciting afternoon , we headed back to the hotel to rest our tired souls before heading out again in the evening to shop behind baiyoke sky hotel night market ( which we do every bangkok trip ) they have really nice street foods and cheap clothings with good quality material if you have the patience to look for them if not , walk to the shopping mall infront of amari watergate hotel thats the biggest fashion mall and the prices are pretty cheap if you buy alot .
Near Big C , there's a shopping mall called central world or smth . It was decorated with christmas stuffs and on that day , saw the biggest christmas tree in my entire 15 years and 11 months XD There were like a few hundred snoopy displayed outside the mall!!!!!!

There was also one day where we took the cab to donate coffins . The taxi driver wanted to send us to some shopping mall in return for free petrol but my mum nicely refused and gave him double of what was supposed to be paid ( 100 baht ) My advice is to take meter taxis . If you can , try not to take non-metered taxis or tuk tuks because they'll send you somewhere else ( only if you allow ) in exchange for gasoline / petrol . At the coffin temple(?) area , there was this basket of golden metallic slips for you to write your name and birth date on , apparently , they are gonna build a Buddha statue or something using the golden metallic slips . If you wished to write your name and birth date down , you'll have to donate 5 baht .
After donating the coffins , we headed to MBK Center and tried to do some shopping but to no avail . Instead , my sis and I got our nails done while my mum got hair treatment done.

Do not ever try glitter nails . They are effing hard to remove I had a hard time removing them a day before the release of the N'level results OTL . As usual , headed back to the hotel and then shopping behind baiyoke sky .
If yall heard of the famous wanton mee at Ang Mo Kio , there is also one in bangkok . Pretty sure they're the same strore with different cooks and their wanton mee is on a different level >.>

It was truly truly disappointing . I was expecting something better than the one served in singapore but no . The servings was way smaller than the one served in singapore . I finished my small bowl of wanton mee in 3 mouths whereas the one in singapore , after 3 mouths , I still have half the bowl of wanton mee left . Most of the people eating there were singaporeans if anyone wants to know. After the disappointing meal , we did MORE shopping and then back to the hotel again before heading for a relaxing foot massage at Gaysorn Plaza it costs 200 baht for an entire hour of foot massage . Where to find in singapore ?????????
Another thing to try in bangkok is their coconut ice cream *noms again* its okay if you dislike coconut like me because I liked the cococnut ice cream ( what am I even saying ._. ) it was really cheap and everyone who travels to bangkok must try it ! no regrets unless you're allergic to coconuts then please . you know what to do .
On the second last day of my bangkok trip , it was the king's birthday . The hotel staff handed us a letter telling us to join them in celebrating the king's birthday but we never read it until we came back from our night shopping and the hotel guests were at the outdoor cafe holding yellow candles while standing still watching the ceremony on televison . Well , I did "join" them ... I was in the hotel room having dinner while seated on the couch watching the ceremony on television too ! ( without the yellow candles of course ) every single thai seemed really happy and was dressed in yellow shirt with a quote or smth related to the king printed on it on that day so everywhere I walked , I was bound to see someone in a yellow shirt .
There's nothing much to blog about for the rest of the trip because its nearing the end . Plus I ran out of photos to post so this concludes my bangkok trip post :-)
Till next time ,
satan
