Is this food place worth visiting ? - April Ver

Hello :3
Yesh I am back with another blog post >.>
You guys might be wondering why I'm posting more posts in April ...

I DON'T KNOW EITHER XD

Okai back to topic.

I'm blogging about food ( again ) T^T
How long has it been since my previous food post ;-;
Anyways ...........

First restaurant:

Name of restaurant : TEOCHEW CUISINE RESTAURANT
Location : Blk 212 Lorong 8 Toa Payoh
                  #01-53
                 Singapore 310212
Rating ( /10 ) : -10/10 :>

Reason :
  1. Bloody expensive food
  2. Watery Porridge
  3. Dimsum at soi 19 AMK tastes WAY better
My parents bought my lil sis and I to Teochew Cuisine Restaurant on Friday - 10th April because they heard on the radio that it was good so they decided to bring us along to try out. We only ordered 6 items and it costed us $80++

Heres what we ordered :
-  6 Small Pieces of Shrimp Skin Roll ( $3.60 )
- 3 Pieces of Pumpkin Plate ( $3.60 )
- 2 Barley Water ( $7.40 )
- 1 Super Small Braised Duck ( $5.00 )
- 1 Claypot of Fish Porridge ( $55.00 )
- 1 Salted Fish Fried Rice  ( $10.00 )
- 4 Wet Towels ( $1.20 )

No we didn't order the wet towels . Heck we didn't even use them but the restaurant still charged us =.=

Number 1 & 2  : Bloody Expensive Food + Watery Porridge

The 90% water + 10% rice fish porridge cost $55. Yes you saw it right. $55 for a claypot of water porridge with less than 10 slices of fish inside.

Look. My grandma can cook less watery fish porridge with more rice using less than $30 -.-

Some of you might be saying "then you shouldn't have ordered in the first place if it was this expensive"

I wouldn't even step into that place if I knew about the price =.=
THEY WEREN'T EVEN STATED IN THE MENU FOR FAK SAKE

If you guys don't believe that the watery porridge cost $55 , I have evidence. ( Refer to the picture below )

As written on the receipt :

- 1 Fish in Double Concept $ 55.00

They gave us 8 $1 meal vouchers to use when we visit them the next time.
And guess what ?
You can only use $1 when you spend $10 =.=
Please keep them for yourself thanks .

Ain't gonna visit the bloody restaurant anymore

Furthermore , we were served with ill mannered waitress =.=

Second Restaurant:

Name : Nene Chicken
Available locations : Star Vista , 313 Somerset , Bedok Point / Mall and a few other places.
Rating : 10/10
Reason :
  1. Chicken was served hot and it was crispy
  2. They are not stingy with the seasoning ( e.g cheese )
Okay I know there's only 2 reasons up there but you won't regret it. Unless you have higher standards than me in life ( for food ).

I visited the one at 313 somerset with my lil sis. The place wasn't too hard to find tbh. Its small but there's hardly anyone as compared to the one in bedok which is usually crowded. And fyi , we went there during lunch time :3

Since we can't take spicy foods , we ordered the cheese flavoured one without much consideration XD. After ordering , we sat down at our table while waiting for our number to be called out. I was actually expecting it to be like KFC style ;-; like after you ordered , can just get it immediately.

About 15 minutes later, we got our food and of course, took photos of it ...

 jUST look at it
 T_T

I'm not saying its nice because its from korea.
First of all , I'm not a big fan of KFC / chicken basically. So if some chicken related café? restaurant? can get me to blog about it, it is definitely good and worth visiting. I asked my lil sis who likes eating chicken and she said that its better than KFC XD.

The skin of the chicken has cheese powder/seasoning all over them and its also crispy on the outside , hot on the inside. Unlike KFC where its already 'cold' once you start eating ... The meat itself is soft and chewy. The buffalo sticks - fries is hot and crispy unlike other fast food chain ( cold and soft ).

And , as mentioned in the reason section , they are not stingy with the cheese seasoning/powder. You can see for yourself in the pics above. The entire chicken is covered with cheese T^T

Trust me , this place is worth a visit. It might be more expensive than other fast food places but its definitely worth the money. - 一分钱一分货 which means you get what you paid for.

Thats all for now :3

xoxo,
satan

/whispers/ I finally finished this blog post T^T it took 7 days ;-;
